The traditional firearms training in America started out as target practice and, to a large extent, it is still taught as a target practice. The real life applications are something completely different. Many people have gotten the CCW (carrying concealed weapons) permits. They completed the tradinional stationary course. Now it would be really helpful for them to learn how it is really done.
